Lynn F. Mackey

Lynn F. Mackey is a native Houstonian. She is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Marketing and Accounting. Upon graduation, she fulfilled one of her many passions by becoming an educator in the Houston Independent School District. After working with the Houston Independent School District, Lynn decided to transition to the church atmosphere to become the Director of Children’s Ministries at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. While working at Wheeler, she met her husband, Pastor Terry E. Mackey and they were married on December 19, 2008. After five years at Wheeler, Lynn returned to the classroom and served at Gregg Elementary for five years as an educator and small group interventionist. Additionally, Lynn works diligently in the community. She is passionate about children and mothers affected by abuse and homelessness. In addition to that passion, she currently works as a Program Coordinator at Arizona State University. She aims to ensure the educational success of Black/African American students at ASU and makes sure their educational experiences are supported and fostered while providing community connections and leadership development. She is also an active member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. On December 2, 2018, Pastor Mackey and Lady Lynn began their pilgrimage as Pastor and First Lady with the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona. As a First Lady, she embodies a standard of excellence as a wife, mother, and child of God. Most of all, she cherishes her role as a wife to a strong man of God and a mother to three children, Micah, Timothy, and Barbara.
