August 2020, AzABSE presented a new Commission that was critically needed during the disparaging times of COVID-19 and social unrest. In order to truly impact sustainable change for better educational experiences and outcomes, AzABSE committed to unite with faith based communities, and the Faith Based & Community Support Commission, later changed to Faith Based and Community Connection Commission, was formed.
The function of this commission is directly related to the issues of faith, community support, and involvement in the public schools. The membership is composed of clergy, parents, businesspersons, lay persons, educators, educators, stakeholders, nonprofit organizations, etc.
The Commission focuses on the wellbeing of children, youth and young adults, and collaborates with community partners to provide programs and resources to meet their needs. We are dedicated to improving the social and academic outcomes of children and uplifting communities.
