The commission addresses programming, policy development and administrative issues of importance to institutions of higher education.
SUPERINTENDENT COMMISSION
The commission provides a forum for information exchange and collaboration among current and former superintendents of public educational systems.
PARENTS COMMISSION
The commission promotes an open, inclusive and supportive structure for families seeking quality educational services that promote best practices, research-based programs and partnerships for the development of children of African descent.
CULTURAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS COMMISSION
The function of this commission shall be directed towards improving the social and physical well-being of students, educators, and communities. This group shall include those who are directly related to providing health, mental, and social and emotional needs in school settings such as nurses, psychologists, social workers, counselors, OT, PT, speech pathologists, school psychologists, etc.
INSTRUCTION & INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT COMMISSION
The commission explores facets of instructional methodologies with emphasis on culturally diverse learners.
STUDENT COMMISSION
The commission engages in enhancing education experiences through cultural, social, and informational events.
ADMINISTRATION COMMISSION
The commission addresses concerns related to the administration and governance of school districts and focuses on the management of local schools and explores innovative practices related to school operations.
FAITH BASED & COMMUNITY SUPPORT COMMISSION
The function of this commission shall be directly related to the issues of faith and community support and involvement in the public schools. The membership may be composed of clergy, parents, business persons, lay persons, retired educators, etc.
