Kimberly May

Kimberly May just wrapped up her 26th year in education. She began her career in Fort Wayne, Indiana and relocated to Arizona in 2007. She has served in many capacities as a Teacher Leader, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Federal Programs, and currently as Florence Unified School District’s K-8 Math Specialist. She serves as the Vice President of the Florence Education Association and as a Teacher Solutions Team Member with the Arizona K12 Center.

Effective Coaching & Mentoring: An Introduction  

Due to the educator shortage, many educators (certified and Education Support Professionals) across Arizona have been put in a position where they are coaching & mentoring other educators with little to no support in doing so & often while balancing their own full-time duties. We’re going to talk about some best practices for being an effective coach and mentor in a sustainable way, and we’ll create space for participants to ask questions, explore resources, share ideas, & brainstorm ways to support colleagues in their school & local district.
