Dr. Racquel Armstrong is a Presidential Postdoctoral Scholar at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. She formerly served for 8 years as a school administrator in primarily middle level urban schools. Her research focuses on self-care as a leadership practice, on which she has published and delivered a TedX Talk. In addition, she runs RL Consulting and a non-profit called A Burst of Light, which serves leaders in public service fields.

This workshop will utilize research to illuminate practical ways for Black educators to build a strategic self-care plan and ways for educational institutions to respond to their needs to promote long-term sustainability.
