In her 9+ years of teaching; from secondary to higher education, her focus has been leadership development inside and outside of the classroom. Her passion for education and leadership are the foundation of her work and advocacy. Cultivating Community in the Classroom : supporting student learning and leadership
The focus of this workshop is how to cultivate community in the classroom to support student learning and leadership. Efficient and effective instruction is the foundation of building a community within the classroom. A classroom community culture needs to be explicit in the hidden and seen curriculum; reinforced day to day by the actions of the teacher and the classroom environment. In this session educators and education leaders will learn concepts needed to support a classroom environment that is learner centered and leader focused.
