You’re invited to the Arizona Dual Enrollment Summer Coalition Meeting!
Are you a passionate education leader in Arizona? Do you want to expand opportunities for students across the state? Join the Arizona Dual Enrollment Coalition! Why Dual Enrollment? Dual enrollment courses enable high school students to earn college credits, giving them a head start in college and reducing tuition costs. Helios research shows that high school students who take dual enrollment courses are more than twice as likely to attend college compared to students who don’t. They’re also more likely to stay enrolled, earn better GPAs, and complete their degrees. However, access to the coursework is not equitable across the state. Only about 25 percent of Arizona high school students take the courses, and traditionally disadvantaged students are less likely to have access to the courses. Why the Coalition? The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation’s education initiative, ElevateEdAZ, was awarded a $950,000 grant by Helios Education Foundation to get more teachers dual enrollment certified to provide more equitable access to dual enrollment courses for students across Arizona. Arizona educators who become certified to teach dual enrollment courses are now eligible for a $1,000 incentive and we need your help spreading the word. Member Commitments:
