Dr. David Craig

​After graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Health Related Professions, he began his teaching career in Tucson. While in Tucson, he also began coaching football, track & field and wrestling.


In 1998 he moved to Chandler and began teaching and coaching at Willis Junior and Hamilton High School. In the fall of 2000, he joined Hamilton’s administrative team as Dean. The following spring, his role expanded to Assistant Principal and in the spring of 2005, he was named principal of Payne Junior High School.


In the spring of 2007, he was selected to the position of Director of Secondary Education and in 2012, was named Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education. In his current position he is responsible for supervising seven junior high schools, six high schools, two alternative schools and one online school totaling 22,000 students. During this time, he also received his doctorate of education from Arizona State University.
