AABSE's educational seminars are part of an educational outreach program that provides information to parents and professional development for educators. The seminars are relevant to NABSE's 2012 theme. "Teaching & Learning: What is Working in America's Classrooms that Impact the Success of Children of African Descent." The seminars are open to anyone who has an interest in the advancement of education.

Join us for an evening of food and discussion as Dr. Jacqueline Jackson shares the story of her road to Superintendency and, with Jimmy Hart, share how we as a community can continue the dream of Martin Luther King.
Children are invited to participate in the “Dare to Dream” youth writing workshop sponsored by Savvy Pen. This workshop is designed to help youth creatively express who they are and where they are going through vision boards, creative writing, and spoken word.

Calendar of Presentations for the 2012-2013 school year.
STEAM Enrichment Program
AABSE has partnered with Grand Canyon University to implement a STEAM Enrichment Program. The 6-week program will begin October 6, 2012, and the curriculum will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The program will roll-out with 3rd grade and include 4th & 5th grade by fall 2013.
